Practical information

Where do I sleep?

Inexpensive:

  1. The Boston Youth Hostel

Your most basic option.

http://www.bostonhostel.org

6 bedded dorm rooms: $32/night per person
Private rooms: $87/night + $3 fee per person

Private rooms accommodate one or two persons.
Dormitory rooms hold six guests and are divided into male, female, and co-ed rooms

To get to the meeting: take T green lines B,C, or D from Hynes/ICA for one stop to Kenmore or line B two stops to Blandford St. Or, just walk over to Commonwealth. Avenue (pronounced "commave" by the locals) and walk west a few blocks. This is what I would personally recommend.

Moderate:

2. Howard Johnson Fenway

Probably the best bet for not too expensive lodgings, and a short walk from the meeting

http://www.hojo.com/HowardJohnson/control/netopia?url=http://cendant.netopia.com/boston00838?sid=

1271 Boylston Street Boston, MA 02215 United States of America
Phone: 617 267-8300
Fax: 617 864-0242

Prices: $100-115 per night for 1-4 people two double beds.

Note that if 4 people are willing to share two double beds, this is cheaper than the hostel!

This seems like the best bet and is close by, so I am going to try to get group rates. I will post the information here if I succeed.

To get to the meeting: walk over to Brookline Ave and then go north on Brookline Ave until you reach Kenmore, then walk east one block on Comm. Ave.

3. Susse Chalet Newton

Not too expensive, but kind of far away.
