Real Time Linux Workshops

1999 - 2000 - 2001 - 2002 - 2003 - 2004 - 2005 - 2006 - 2007 - 2008 - 2009

Eighth Real-Time Linux Workshop on October 12 to 15, 2006, in Lanzhou, Gansu, P.R.China

Panel Discussion - Which one is the real Real-Time Linux?

There are many real-time Linux flavours - there have been numerous "battles" regarding the question which flavour is the correct path to go. We would like to present leading figures of the different flavours:

and discuss in broad terms:

  • what direction the real-time Linux community can be expected to go in the future,
  • what common grounds there are for building a strong real-time Linux community including all flavours,
  • what are the demands on the side of commercial users that the individual flavours are trying to address, and
  • what can we learn from each other.

All flavours have there merits - selecting the right solution for your problem domain is often not an easy task - we hope that the audience will find helpful guidance in selecting the right flavour !
