Invitation and Call for Papers
The OSADL Networking Day 2016 will take place on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 in Heidelberg/Germany, and we hereby would like to cordially invite all OSADL members to participate at this event.
The purpose of the OSADL Networking Day is again to enable networking, collaboration and professional exchange among OSADL and its members including academic and associated members. An important innovation is that this year's Networking Day will take place at another location as usual, namely in the "Haus der Astronomie" literally "House of Astronomy". This galaxy-shaped building is located on top of the Königstuhl mountain in Heidelberg and will probably create a unique environment for our event (---> www.haus-der-astronomie.de/en/)
Call for papers:
We cordially invite you to participate actively in the Networking Day with a presentation. The following two presentation formats are available:
1. Presentations on technical and scientific topics of approx. 30 minutes of duration. Apart from ready-made solutions, you can also present open questions, important solution processes or helpful discussion points. The topics shall be related to the well-known OSADL topics: Deployment of Open Source software in industrial products - e.g. technical, legal and safety-related aspects.
2. Innovative product-related short communications of 10-15 minutes of duration, which will be of interest for the OSADL members.
Apart from this, we also plan to have some talks by invited experts. Should you have heard an interesting presentation lately which you think could fit in the agenda of the Networking Day, we kindly ask you to let us know so we can get into contact with the speaker and perhaps invite him or her to the event.
Exhibition area:
A small exhibition area is available in the lobby of the event location, where new products, new services, demo presentations etc. can be showcased.
Evening program:
Subsequent to the conference session you are cordially invited to join us for a virtual "journey through the universe", and after the interstellar voyage there will be a bus shuttle to bring you "back to earth" and down to the old-town of Heidelberg where we will have dinner together in a typical Heidelberg restaurant.
Registration deadline
For planning purposes we would very much appreciate, if you could register and, if applicable, let us have your presentation suggestions until April 15, 2016.
