The "OSADL Networking Day 2015" will take place on May 20, 2015 at the Conference Center of the Technologiepark Heidelberg (building next to the OSADL Office):

The purpose of the OSADL Networking Day again is to enable networking and collaboration among OSADL and its members including academic and associated members.
In a preliminary approach, the morning and early afternoon sessions will focus on more technical and scientific topics, while in the afternoon more general topics will be presented and discussed. Thereafter you are cordially invited to join us for a guided and entertaining tour up to the famous Heidelberg castle and to have dinner in a typical old-town Heidelberg restaurant.
We would very much appreciate if many of you could actively participate in the Networking day and contribute a presentation. In addition to technical, scientific or more general presentations of selected topics of approx. 30 minutes of duration, we will also accept product-related short communications of 10-15 minutes of duration. If you would like to showcase new products, services or a demo presentation, some exhibition space will be made available for this purpose as well.
Possible topics are, but not limited to:
- Technical aspects of using OSS in the industry, such as
- Real-time kernel, real-time communication protocols
- Hardware support
- Software frameworks
- Distribution strategies
- etc.
- Legal aspects of Open Source Software
- Using OSS in a safety-critical environment
Another aspect of the OSADL Networking Day is to give potential OSADL members the opportunity to get know better OSADL and its way to assist its members. Therefore, a certain number of seats is reserved for companies who are planning to join OSADL, but would like to get some more information. Every member, therefore, has the possibility to invite customers, partners, etc. who might be interested.

Please note that the OSADL Networking Day 2015 is an internal OSADL event; thus, unrestricted participation is only available for OSADL members. However, a limited number of seats have been reserved for non-members who are interested in OSADL's work and would like to learn more about OSADL. These seats for non-members will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Conference language
All presentation material will be in English, the conference language is German or English. Simultaneous interpretation to either language will be provided.

At 6:30 pm you are cordially invited to join us for a guided and entertaining tour up to the famous Heidelberg castle.
After the tour around 8:00 pm we will have dinner in a typical old-town Heidelberg restaurant (Wirtshaus zum Nepomuk, Obere Neckarstr. 2, D-69117 Heidelberg).

Public transportation:
The ConferenceCenter of the Heidelberg Technology Park is located about three kilometers away from Heidelberg main railway station. The electric tram lines RNV 21 and RNV 24 direction „Handschuhsheim” take about six minutes, the closest tram stop is „Technologiepark”. You will reach the conference rooms from there in a short walk.
