OSADL Associate Members (Fördermitglieder)
In addition to the cooperative's regular members gold/silver/bronze, who have purchased shares – thus are co-owners of OSADL – and have a say in the company's fortunes, there are other membership categories that also provide access to OSADL's services but do not have the rights mentioned above. These categories are collectively referred to as Associate Membership.
The OSADL Associate Membership category is subdivided into:
Associate Members Gold/Silver/Bronze
An alternative to the regular membership in the cooperative is the associate membership gold/silver/bronze. The rationale behind this type of membership is that acquiring shares of a cooperative and become regular member may not always be an easy task, especially for large corporations. Therefore, such corporations are invited to apply for an associate membership gold/silver/bronze and may enjoy equal access to OSADL services as their regular member counterparts, but have no say in the company's fortunes. The membership fee amounts to one and a half times higher than for regular members.
Associate members gold/silver/bronze may use the respective bronze, silver or gold associate member logo in printed material and on their website. In addition to associate members gold/silver/bronze, OSADL has associate members base level for individuals and small companies or start-ups, associate members organization for organizations, regular members and academic members.

OSADL Associate Members Organization (Fördermitglieder Organisation)
In addition to the gold/silver/bronze and base level associate membership levels, OSADL has a special associate membership level for organizations. This is special insofar as it is a cost neutral mutual membership that is mainly intended for networking and collaboration among organizations dedicated to fostering the Open Source movement.
Application forms for an associate membership organization in the Open Source Automation Development Lab are available in English and German language (PDF format).

OSADL Associate Members Base Level (Fördermitglieder Basis)
Small companies and individuals who want to support OSADL's activities are invited to become Associate Member Base Level. Such associate members may participate at some parts of the OSADL community, enjoy discounts at OSADL-organized conferences and seminars and are listed on the OSADL Associate Member Poster. They may use the OSADL Associate Member logo in printed material and on their Website. In addition to Associate Members Base Level, OSADL has associate members bronze/silver/gold, regular members and academic members.
