Workshop

Description

The first workshop of the OPC UA/TSN project group has the following three main purposes:

  • General training on OPC, OPC UA and TSN
  • Practical training on how to use the provided OPC UA software
  • Discussion of the design and the practical realization of the demonstrator to be exhibited at the Embedded World 2018.

The presentations of the workshop will be made available here for documentation purposes and also to give participants who are unable to attend the workshop an opportunity to access – at least in part – the information that is provided at the workshop.

  7. How to determine that a real-time Linux system, in fact, provides real-time capabilities

By car
  • From Frankfurt: Take the autobahn A5 Frankfurt-Basel
  • From Stuttgart: Take the autobahn A8 Munich-Karlsruhe, at the Karlsruhe three-way junction turn onto the A5 towards Frankfurt

Take exit no. 44 Karlsruhe-Durlach towards Karlsruhe B10, at Durlacher Allee towards the city center, and turn right at the 2nd traffic light intersection directly after the railway underpass. Then, please follow the Ostring road towards Hauptfriedhof, turn left onto the Haid-und-Neu-Straße, then take the second road on the right (Stumpfstraße) until you reach the Fraunhoferstraße.

By train

From Karlsruhe main station, take the tram line 4 (not the S4!) towards »Waldstadt« or »Jägerhaus« and get out at the stop called »Hauptfriedhof«; walk back approximately 50 meters, turn onto the Stumpfstraße and turn left onto the Fraunhoferstraße after approximately 100 meters.

By airplane

Take the train from the long-distance train station from Frankfurt airport directly to Karlsruhe, the travel time is approximately one hour; from Stuttgart Airport, travel to the Karlsruhe main station by train, travel time is approximately two hours.
