OSADL Networking Day 2025
The OSADL Networking Day 2025 – the traditional OSADL Members' event – will take place on Thursday, June 26, 2025 in Heidelberg, Germany. The main topic of this year's Networking Day will be "Tools for Embedded Software Engineering - Compliance, Quality Testing, Security".
Registration
- To register for the Networking Day, please complete the below form - fields in bold are required.
- In the afternoon of the Networking Day there will be two breakout sessions with three parallel presentations each. Please select one presentation for each breakout session that you would like to attend. The selection is not binding, but will help us to organize the sessions:
- Breakout session 1:
- Compliance: License compliance with FOSSA: The why and the how, Lukas Panni, SEW-EURODRIVE
- Quality testing: Introduction to Labgrid and its practical use for automated testing, Chris Fiege, Pengutronix
- Security: Threat modeling for an embedded system: How to conduct a workshop, Sven Strittmatter, iteratec
- Breakout session 2:
- Compliance: FOSS compliance toolchain from scratch to SBOM, Dr. Carsten Emde and Caren Kresse, OSADL
- Quality testing: OSADL QA Farm: Long-term quality assessment of embedded Linux systems, Jan Altenberg and Alexander Bähr, OSADL
- Security: How to develop IEC 62443 certified components with Open Source software, Florian Kauer, Linutronix
- Following the conference session, we cordially invite all participants to a joint dinner cooking event at Cookst Du - Kochschule Eppelheim (Culinary School Eppelheim) where we will cook and enjoy together exclusive dishes under guidance of experienced chefs with plenty of opportunity for networking! Should you be unable to attend, please deselect the related check boxes in the below registration form.
- A bus shuttle from DJH Youth Hostel to the cooking event and back will be offered. In case you won't need the bus shuttle, please deselect the related check box.
- In case you prefer vegetarian meal, please select the corresponding check box.
- Submit the form and you will receive a confirmation by email.
- Please register preferably before June 6, 2025.
- Please note that the OSADL Networking Day is an internal OSADL event, but we also have reserved some seats for guests. In any case, the total number of participants is limited to 100. We ask for your understanding that we will handle the registrations on a "first come - first served" basis.

You may revoke this agreement at any time by email, mail or phone using the communication data provided at the imprint page, but this will also cancel your registration.
Conference language
The conference language of the 2025 OSADL Networking Day is English. All presentation material will be in English, too.
Evening event
Following the conference session, we cordially invite all participants to a joint cooking event at Kochschule Eppelheim cookst Du! (Culinary School Eppelheim). And so the OSADL Open Source community will become a culinary community, too, by cooking together under the guidance of professional chefs and enjoying the collaboratively created dinner. And there will certainly be plenty of opportunity for networking over good food and drinks!

Parking possibilities: There is a limited number of parking spaces available at the culinary school and nearby.
From approx. 17:30: Start of joint cooking event
After the dinner there will be a bus shuttle back from the cooking event in Eppelheim to Heidelberg with stops at Heidelberg main station, Hotel Bergheim 41, Heidelberg Bismarckplatz and DJH Youth Hostel for car pick-up.
