Following OSADL's long-term tradition since 2005 to participate at the SPS exhibition in Nuremberg, the same procedure was planned this year. Unfortunately, only a few days before the official start on November 23, the SPS onsite event in Nuremberg as well as the digital SPS on air were canceled because of the continued rise in COVID-19 infection and hospitalization rates.

We are happy to announce a new online OSADL hands-on workshop titled "Creating a license compliant embedded system from scratch". This event follows a new format in several aspects: While our established events are usually centered on either legal or technical topics of Open Source in industry, this workshop covers both of these aspects. In addition, it will take place over four days, this first time as an online hands-on workshop from June 28 to July 1, 2021. The workshop language is German.

The OSADL Ordinary General Assembly 2021 will take place on Thursday, June 17, 2021 in virtual form.

In 2021 the traditional OSADL Networking Day will again be transformed into a virtual OSADL Networking Week and will take place from Monday, June 14 to Thursday, June 17, 2021. This year's topic will be "OPC UA PubSub over TSN using open62541 and beyond". The virtual OSADL Networking Week will consist of live video stream sessions alternately in the morning and afternoon, each session including a subsequent discussion via video conference. We hereby would like to cordially invite all OSADL regular, associate and academic members to participate at the OSADL Networking Week 2021.
